English motorcycle racer – James Toseland

James Toseland, born October 5, 1980 in Kiveton Park, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is an English motorcycle racer who won the World Superbike championship in 2004.

Toseland started his career in the UK in the Superteen series but sprang to prominence in the late nineties when he dominated the Honda CB500 cup series as a 17 year old. He was picked up to ride a Supersport Honda and won races at national level. As a result he was signed to the factory Honda World Supersport squad where he rode for two years with up and down results and a host of big injuries.

Toseland joined the British Superbikes series in 2000, riding for Paul Bird’s Vimto-sponsored team and getting good results on a Honda VTR. The following season, he joined the GSE team to partner Neil Hodgson in World Superbike, at the age 20. Having never taken a top 5 finish in either British Superbikes or World Supersport, he was not initially as competitive as Hodgson. But by late 2002 he was challenging for top-5 results in World Superbike, taking 7th place overall that year. In 2003 the team was more competitive than ever, allowing James to take his first win at Oschersleben, 3rd in the championship.

In 2004, Toseland joined the factory Ducati team as second rider to the experienced Regis Laconi, but his competitivness meant that he pipped Laconi and Chris Vermeulen to the title at the final meeting of the season. 2005 proved to be more of a struggle for Toseland, with a lack of team support as well as the returning Suzuki and Yamaha teams, and the improving Honda camp of five riders including Chris Vermeulen and Pierfrancesco Chili. This combination of factors ended the domination of Ducati, as Troy Corser took the championship on a Suzuki, while Toseland finished 5th.

For 2006 Toseland switched to the Winston Ten Kate Honda racing team, replacing the MotoGP-bound Chris Vermeulen, where he rode alongside Australian Karl Muggeridge. He won the season-opener in Qatar, and finished 2nd in the championship behind Troy Bayliss. He nearly replaced an injured Toni Elías for the Fortuna Honda team for a MotoGP one-off, but this didn’t happen for sponsor-related reasons.

Toseland remains in WSBK for the 2007 season with Ten Kate Honda. Toseland posted a first/second combination in both the first race in Qatar, as well as Philip Island Australia. He has won one race in each of the first five meetings of the year.

Jerome Ortiz, born in 1981, in Manila, Philippines, is a Filipino model and journalist.

Ortiz became known in the Philippines when he won the Mossimo Bikini Grand Prix 2006. Since then, he’s bagged several ads and editorial campaigns that graced the covers of many fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan Philippines and Icon Magazine, to mention a few.

Jason Chambers, born March 23, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American actor and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and is currently co-host of Human Weapon on the History Channel.

Chambers is a Jeet Kune Do Concepts Instructor and is affiliated with 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu.

His interest and love for the arts and feeling a constant need to be the center of attention has led him to pursue acting. His roles in theatre productions such as “Our Town,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “A Midsummer’s night Dream,” ” The Mouse that Roared,” and several others only fueled his passion. “I was bitten by the acting bug at a very young age. I remember my grandmother would scour the newspaper and tote me to local open casting calls,” Chambers recalls.

Chambers went on to study the craft of acting in Chicago at “Act One” studios and improve at the world famous “Second City” – home of many past and present SNL cast members – and with various acting and scene study coaches.

Chambers solidified his decision to become a full time actor by moving to New York, where he quickly landed appearances in established television series such as “Guiding Light”, “All My Children”, “Sex and the City”, “Can You Tell?”, and most frequently on “As the World Turns” as the Java Underground bartender Kyle.

But it was his co-hosting job in the hit History Channel Series “Human Weapon” that really got people’s attention. The show has premiered and has the highest ratings for THC.

Jonatan Conejeros, born November 13, 1982, in Capital Federal, Argentina, is an Argertine model, dancer and actor.

Conejeros began modeling at a very young age, doing a lot of work in different children’s advertising. He briefly stopped his modeling work in order to study, and to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer.

In 2004, Conejeros began to do some modeling work again then delved into dancing and acting. First, he went to Chile to dance in a TV program called “Mecano” at Mega TV. He then returned to Buenos Aires and started to take a stab at acting. Immediately, Jonatan’s acting career kicked in to high gear. One of his first acting jobs include roles in several successful soap operas: “El Tiempo No Para”, “El Vecino de la Esquina”, and many more.

Shortly thereafter, Conejeros landed his big break when he did a famous TV segment called “Uomo” and for this someone called him from New York. There he was at the Fashion Week twice and started a new way of life. He then ventured again into dancing, appearing in “El show de Cristina” on Univision Miami.

In between projects, Conejeros spends his free time studying, and reading a lot (Paolo Cohelo, Osho, Bucay). He believes nothing is more precious than the soul.

Jean Sarkozy, born September 1, 1986 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, is the son of Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France.

Sarkozy is a second-year law student at the Sorbonne (as of 2008) and an amateur actor. He also shares his father’s political ambitions. He ran for and was elected a Regional Councilor in the city of Neuilly-sur-Seine, France and a backroom activist for his father’s Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), a centre-right party.

Sarkozy has stepped into the spotlight in 2007 by trying to help his father’s reform initiatives gain the favor of the people. He has staged some plays in Paris that are geared towards demonstrating the benefits of a more free market and entrepreneurial France.

F1 Car Racing Athlete – Jenson Button

Jenson Button, often called Jense, born January 19, 1980, in Frome, Somerset, England, is a British Formula One racing driver from England, best known for competing for the Honda Racing F1 team, winning his first Grand Prix in Hungary 2006.

Button began karting at age eight after his father bought him his first kart, and he made an extraordinarily successful start. He won all 34 races of the 1991 British Cadet Kart Championship along with the title.

Further successes followed, including triumphs in the British Open Kart (1st) Championship, British Formula Ford Championship (1st), Macau Grand Prix (2nd), and Formula One 2004 (3rd), just to name a few.

When not racing, Button’s hobbies include mountain biking, body boarding and collecting cars – his car collection includes a 1956 VW Campervan.

When asked what his secret to a happy life, Button said, “Being surrounded by fantastic people, and I’m very lucky in that way. And being able to laugh at yourself is important too.”
