Markus Rosenberg, born on September 27, 1982 in Malmö, is a Swedish footballer. As of June 2007, Rosenberg, who is nicknamed Sillen, has played fifteen games and scored five times for the Swedish national team.

Rosenberg started his playing career at Malmö FF, but struggled to become a first-team regular and as a result joined Halmstads BK on loan in 2004. Playing at Halmstad he became the top goalscorer of the 2004 season. Back in Malmö, he also topped the Royal League 2004-05 scoring list.

Rosenberg joined Ajax Amsterdam at the start of the 2005/06 season for a fee of € 5,300,000. He later played as a left winger in the 4-3-3 system. Playing in this line-up, his team Ajax were able to reach the newly born Eredivisie play-offs a being ranked 5th in the regular competition, beating Feyenoord Rotterdam and FC Groningen to claim a spot in the UEFA Champions League preliminaries for the following season. Ajax also won the KNVB Cup in that season.

In 2007, Rosenberg moved to German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen playing his first game two days later against Hannover 96. He scored his first goal for Werder Bremen against FC Bayern Munich, in a 1:1 draw.

Because of his aerial ability and his strength Markus Rosenberg is considered a dangerous header of the ball, but he is also dangerous when having the ball at his feet.

Australian diver – Matthew Mitcham

Matthew Mitcham, born March 2,1988 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, is an Australian diver, best known for winning the gold medal in the 2008 Olympic Champion on the 10m platform.

A former trampoline gymnast, Mitcham began diving in 2000 after being spotted at a local pool by a coach who believed he had potential. Mitcham, who was once the junior world champion in trampoline, quickly began diving full time, and competed in his first national championship meet at age 12.

From 2002 through 2004, Mitcham was a national junior champion in diving, winning the events in which he competed.

In 2005, Mitcham won his first senior national title. He competed at the Australian Olympic Youth Festival, where he won the silver medal on the 1m board with a score of 508.35; the gold medal on the 3m with a score of 565; the gold medal on 10m with a score of 555.8, and the gold medal with synchro partner Scott Robertson on the 3m synchro with a score of 316.23.

Mitcham took a break from diving in 2006. In 2007, he returned to the sport.

In 2008, Mitcham made his Olympic debut in Beijing in the 10m platform event winning gold. His win prevented China from claiming a clean-sweep of all diving medals at the Olympic Games and subsequently made him the first Australian male to win an Olympic gold medal in diving since Dick Eve in 1924.

Mitcham was the only openly gay male athlete at 2008 Summer Olympics. He made headlines in Australia when he revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald that he is gay, becoming one of the first Australian athletes to do so.

Mitcham admits he didn’t see a future in sports as a child. A self-described non-athletic kid, Mitcham also has a rebellious streak that at 14 led him to get his tongue pierced. Mitcham, who is often described as “free-spirited,” still has the piercing, which he says he doesn’t even notice while diving.

Jason Daniel Roberts, born July 19, 1977, in Rockmart, Georgia, is an American model and actor.

Roberts is known for being on MTV’s Real World 9 – New Orleans as a gay cast member. Danny isn’t the first openly gay cast member to appear on MTV’s, “The Real World.” Nor is he the first to kiss another man on screen. However, he is the first to kiss a blurred one. American swimmer – Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps, born June 30, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American swimmer. He has won 14 career Olympic gold medals, the most by any Olympian. As of August 2008, he also holds seven world records in swimming.

In his youth, Phelps was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He started swimming at age seven, partly because of the influence of his sisters and partly to provide him with an outlet for his energy.

Phelps excelled as a swimmer, and by the age of 10 held a national record for his age group. More age group records followed, and Phelps’s rapid improvement culminated in his qualifying for the 2000 Summer Olympics at the age of 15 — a result he wasn’t exactly expecting.

“At first I couldn’t really believe it. I thought I saw it and had to take my goggles off to really see,” Phelps said of the race. He was the youngest man on the U.S. swim team, but despite his age and lack of international experience, he made the final in Sydney and finished fifth. Five months after that race, Phelps became the sport’s youngest male world-record holder when he claimed the 200m fly mark.

At first glance, Phelps might look like a typical swimmer. But several of his physical characteristics seem genetically tailored for swimming. His 6-foot-7-inch wingspan is three inches longer than his height, providing him with unusual reach. His torso is long compared to his legs, enabling him to ride high on the water. And his flexible ankles, combined with size-14 feet, allow for a powerful kick. Add to that more than a decade of high-intensity training

, and you get one of the fastest swimmers in history.

Overall, Phelps has won 16 Olympic medals: six gold and two bronze at Athens in 2004, and eight gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Jamie Dornan, born in Belfast in 1982, is a Northern Irish supermodel, musician, and film actor, best known for his role as the handsome Count Axel von Fersen in the Sofia Coppola 2006 film, Marie-Antoinette.

Miguel Veloso, born May 11, 1986 in Coimbra, is a Portuguese football player, currently with Sporting Clube de Portugal (as of 2008). He plays mainly as a central midfielder, but can also operate as central defender.

Veloso started his career at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, where his father became famous but, at the age of 14 switched to rivals Sporting Clube de Portugal where he played for 5 straight years, eventually training with the first team during the 2004-05 season. His first playing position was central defender.

In order to give him game time, Sporting loaned Veloso to Clube Desportivo Olivais e Moscavide for 2005-06. There, he accomplished, as an influential player, promotion to the second division.

Veloso got his big break on August 14, 2007, when he was called-up for the Portuguese full squad for the first time, for a Euro 2008 qualifier against Armenia. He would make his international debut against Azerbaijan, on October 13 the same year.

Lauri Kalima, born in 1982 in Helsinki, Uusimaa, is a Finnish track and field star and model.

Jimmy Heck, born March 11, 1985, in Millbrae, California, is an American actor, fitness model and personal trainer.

Heck grew up in Milbourne California and in 2007, he moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. In just a few months into his movie, the fitness model turned actor Jimmy Heck landed speaking roles in not one but two feature film projects. Hr was cast by film producer Anthony Bruce in both “Redefining Normal” opposite another hunk, Marco Dapper and “Murder at Random.”

Having studied acting at the renowned Howard Fine Studio in Los Angeles, Heck is a former semi-pro soccer player and began his sports career playing for the San Francisco Vikings. He went on to play soccer throughout the United States and abroad, including countries such as Germany, Belgium and Holland.

A young man of both German and Italian decent, Heck was a Student Body President at his alma mater, Junipero Serra High School, from where he graduated in 2003. He graduated with a BA degree in Theatre Arts, with a minor in Legal Studies, from UC Santa Cruz in May 2007, where he appeared in several stage productions. He is the son of Dianne and John Heckenberg and has four sisters and an older brother.
