Alex Pettyfer: The Sexy Beastly!

Alex Pettyfer is now one of my favorite pretty boys in Hollywood.  I enjoyed watching him in I Am Number Four, and he does a wonderful turn in Beastly, as the ‘Beast’ in that fable, Beauty and the Beast.  I was amused because even though they put on all that macabre make-up on him, it couldn’t really hide how hot he is!  I guess his model frame still makes him look attractive even though he was ‘uglified’.

Ryan Reynolds Performance in ‘Buried’

In one of the more interesting movies this year, Ryan Reynolds, a certified hunk, (no, the shirtless pictures here don’t appear in the movie), does a one-act tour de force performance in the movie ‘Buried’.  This movie is not for the claustrophobe, as everything happens in one place, well, you guessed it – in a wooden coffin.  Several interesting things happen in there, as well as a lot of cruel people doing this to him.  I don’t know if this movie is an attack at the previous Bush administration, but it’s a damn good one!  And Ryan provides the acting chops to carry everything – as in everything, in this movie!

If you still haven’t seen the movie, and still want to see it, don’t proceed.

Should You Pay 170 pesos to watch this? – The idea of oneself being in a coffin and buried alive, is in itself, pretty scary!  Steel yourself when you watch this.  There is no happy ending.  And it makes you mad because there’s a lot of bad people too – although you never see them -you only hear them.

What Impresses Me In this Movie –  I didn’t know Iraq had a great telecommunications infrastructure.  Also, my brother says the phone Ryan uses in the whole movie is hi-tech!  These aren’t poor insurgents.  They’re loaded!!

Ryan Reynolds Sizzles

I don’t know why I missed this movie during its theatrical screening here.  Maybe I was just too busy!  Too busy to see Ryan Reynolds in the buff!  You must be kidding!  Ryan plays his role here very well – a bit meek and subservient to Sandra Bullock’s character.  I just don’t believe that all this time, Sandra’s character has refused to see the hunk of a man her assistant is.  Can I have an assistant like Ryan Reynold’s – puhluzzzz!!!  Promise, I won’t treat him like shit. Instead, I would take care of him so much, he’d never leave me!  Just kidding!  Oh well, we can always dream about, can’t we?

Shiloh Fernandez

Shiloh Fernandez stars as Peter, the woodcutter in the latest version of Red Riding Hood – and he is another one of the new and upcoming hunks of 2011 – at least for me.  He registers quite well onscreen.  He doesn’t have any shirtless scenes here since it’s always snowing in the setting – however, his pretty face cannot be hidden by such stark surroundings!  He’s one of the reasons why this stinker was bearable to see!

Eye Candy in ‘Indie Boys’

Paolo Rivera and Jeff Luna

Paolo Rivero and Jeff Luna are some of local indie movies’ most sought after actors – with the former boasting a list of really goodlooking men as his partners in his movies, while the latter, is known more for his daring frontals.  Anyhow, both finally get a chance to go at each other in this rather slow-moving, placid indie movie called ‘Araro’ where Paolo Rivero plays this farmer who falls in love with the drifter, played by Jeff Luna.  Their attraction culminates in a lovemaking scene in the end where I felt pain for both of them since they had to do it on a bamboo floor – ouch! That’s just about it.  The movie is plodding and the story is uninteresting, while Paolo’s character is just forever finding ways to get Jeff into the sack – because his character – actually has a wife!! Go figure!

Hot Brothers – Liam and Chris

I am currently watching ‘The Perfect Getaway’ and one of the couples in that movie had this hunk of a man named Chris Hemsworth, who turns out to be the brother of Liam Hemsworth, who is the boyfriend of Miley Cyrus!!  Imagine what watching an HBO movie could lead to!  They’re both incredibly goodlooking and in the movie, Chris was certainly a badass character!

Chris Hemsworth God Thor!

I was watching the Golden Globe Awards last Monday morning and one of the presentors was the actor who will take the role of the Thunder God, Thor!  His name is Chris Hemsworth and he’s really really goodlooking!  I have featured him once and I’m not surprised the casting agents have decided to cast him since I think he fits the role perfectly!  I am excited to see the movie soon since I’m also a fan of Norse mythology.
