Dramatic Actor – Goran Visnjic

Goran Visnjic joined the cast of NBC’s “ER” in 1999, playing the role of Dr. Luka Kovac, a Croatian doctor who immigrated to the United States after the violent deaths of his wife and children.

Visnjic grew up in Sibenik, Croatia, a port town on the Adriatic Sea, where he decided at an early age that he wanted to be an actor. He first performed in local theater groups and then entered the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. He gained popularity in Croatia when, at the age of 21, he was cast as Hamlet in the prestigious Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s staging of Shakespeare’s play. The production received rave reviews, with Visnjic’s own performance earning him three national Best Actor awards, including an Orlando (the Croatian equivalent of a Tony).

Visnjic’s additional theater credits include “Les Fourberies de Scapin,” “L’Ecole des Femmes,” “Miss Julie,” “Ivanov,” “The Brothers Karamazov” and “Le Baruffe Chiozotte.”

During his recent summer hiatus, Visnjic completed the independent film “The Deep End” directed by Scott McGhee, in which he starred opposite Tilda Swinton. He appeared with Heather Graham in Miramax 2000 film “Committed,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and will star in the upcoming independent film “Doctor Sleep.”

Among Visnjic’s other film credits are “Practical Magic,” in which he starred alongside Nicole Kidman, and “The Peacemaker” also with Kidman and former “ER” star George Clooney.

Visnjic also starred in three Croatian features, and made his American motion-picture debut in the critically acclaimed drama, “Welcome to Sarajevo,” directed by Michael Winterbottom.

In his leisure time, Visnjic enjoys fencing, swimming and diving. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Ivana, and his birthday is September 9.

Gale Harold was born and raised in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia. In his youth, his parents were church people. Luckily, the influences of Jack London, Gandalf, and David Bowie alerted him to the bizarre inaccuracies of a Southern Pentecostal upbringing.

After most of his childhood friends disappeared in the “white flight” exodus of the late 70’s, he spent his high school years drifting amongst various socioeconomic harbors finding protection in the veneer of non committal collusion.

He acquired a diploma and under a soccer scholarship to begin a Liberal Arts Degree in romance Literature at American University in Washington, D.C. But “creative differences” with his coach resulted in his departure after one half a year. He left the Capital to study Fine Arts at the San Francisco Art Institute. He squandered his academic scholarship however, and was eventually forced to make other plans.

A gnawing obsession with Italian motorcycles led to several years of restoring and pants-set mechanics with Moto Guzzi motor bikes. In 1997 on the brink of financial exile from San Francisco he was urged by his compatriot Suzy Landau, producer for Francis Ford Coppola (Dracula & Tucker) to take his act to the stage.

After being introduced to the luminous actor and director Joan E. Scheckel, he re-located to Los Angeles, beginning an intensive three-year period of dramatic study and exploration. This led to his theatrical debut as Bunny in Gillian Plowman’s Me and My Friend at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. He also made his feature debut as Booker in Paul Scheuring’s 36K. He was subsequently accepted to and completed the Actor’s Conservatory Program with A Noise Within classical theatre company. There he appeared in productions of The Misanthrope and Cymbeline.

He is currently starring as Brian Kinney in Showtime’s version of the UK television smash hit Queer As Folk.

Garrett Hedlund, born September 3, 1984, in Roseau, Minnesota, USA, is an actor.

Garrett spent his early years growing up on a farm in a small town. When he was in the ninth grade, his family moved to Scottsdale Arizona, where he began taking private acting lessons. After graduating high school, he immediately moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.

One month later, he landed the role of Achilles’ cousin Patroclus in the major motion picture Troy (2004) opposite Brad Pitt. His next feature was Friday Night Lights (2004) starring Billy Bob Thornton, in which Garrett played a high school football player.

He then landed a starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg in Four Brothers (2005), playing one of four brothers whose mother is murdered.

George Slebi, born February 23, 1982, in Barranquilla, is a Colombian actor.

Slebi is perhaps known for starring in telenovelas and reality show. He first appeared in a reality show ” Protagonistas de Novela 2 – La Amenaza” in 2003. The following year, he landed the role of Manuel in a TV series Ángelus. He then starred in two more TV series in subsequent years: Móvil 727 and Floricienta.

Aside from his acting career, he has also done a number of TV commercials including Sony, Coca Cola, Cerveza Águila, Babaria, and Cream Helado to name a few.

In spite of being in Colombia, he has Arab blood flowing in his veins. His maternal grandparents and father emigrated from Lebanon and Palestine, in search of new horizons. His family lives in Barranquilla and in Bogota.

Canadian-American Actor Gregory Smith

Gregory Smith, born July 6, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian-American actor, known for his role as Ephram Brown on the television series Everwood.

Smith began acting when he was fourteen months old, and appeared in a Tide television commercial and in store catalogues. After a role in the 1994’s children’s film Andre, he starred in the 1995 direct-to-video release Leapin’ Leprechauns and its 1996 sequel, Spellbreaker: Secret of the Leprechauns.

Also in 1996, Smith appeared opposite Michelle Trachtenberg in Harriet the Spy. He subsequently starred in another direct-to-video film, Shadow Zone: My Teacher Ate My Homework, and appeared in three 1998 films: Krippendorf’s Tribe, playing one of the children of the title character, The Climb, and the big-budget summer film Small Soldiers.

Gong Yoo, born on July 10, 1979, in South Korea is a Korean actor and model, best known for his role as Choi Han Kyul in the MBC romantic comedy “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince.”
