American Actor – Seth Kamphuijs

On 10 September 1977, Seth Benjamin Kamphuijs was born in the village of Eenrum to an American mother and a father from Groningen. Seth had his first contact with theatre at private school. Without waiting for his exam results to arrive, Seth left for a car trip throughout Europe. In Barcelona he worked behind the bar and presented shows in clubs.

When he came back to Amsterdam, where he had moved, he worked in the ‘Comedyclub’ and took acting lessons as preparation for theatre school. When he did not pass the entrance exam, Seth decided to go back to his ‘roots’ and to try his luck in the ‘Capitol of the World’: New York. While there, he took acting lessons and attended many off-Broadway shows, but an urge to be home and closer to his friends drew him back to Amsterdam.

Veronica broadcasting took Seth on in the soap Onderweg Naar Morgen. In it, he spent a year playing the role of Ticho Steiner. After a strict selection procedure, he was accepted by the Theatre Academy in Maastricht, where he added the technique of shaping his theatrical expression to the talent he already had.

Soon after he was asked to join the ‘Paardenkathedraal’ theatre company in Utrecht, Seth decided to do a screen test for TMF. This also turned out in a positive way: “I am now one of the happiest people I know because I get to work in two of my greatest loves, theatre and television.”

Meanwhile, Seth has moved from TMF to MTV, and is still actively developing his acting career. On television, he can also be seen from Monday through Friday from 16:00 to 18:00 in the programme MTVlive, of course on MTV.

Chilean American Actor – Santiago Cabrera

Santiago Cabrera, born May 5, 1978, in Caracas, Venezuela, is a Chilean American actor, perhaps best known for playing Isaac Mendez in the NBC hit series Heroes.

The middle child of a Chilean diplomat father and homemaker mother, Cabrera was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lived in Toronto, London, Madrid and Romania before his family returned to Chile when he was fifteen years old.

As captain of the soccer team in high school, Cabrera focused on athletics before switching gears and headed towards acting when his high school drama teacher encouraged him to try acting.

During his three years of training at the Drama Centre, Cabrera honed his acting skills in productions of “The Madras House,” “A Month in the Country,” “Napoli Milionaria,” “Britannicus,” “The Dutch Courtesan,” “The Strangeness of Others,” “A Field,” “Three Birds Alighting On,” and played the title character in “The Last Days of Don Juan.”

Concurrent with his final year at the Centre, he made his television debut with small roles in the London series “Battles of Britain,” “Judge John Deed,” “Spooks” and “As If.” His first role after graduating from drama school was Montano in Shakespeare’s “Othello,” at the Northampton Theatre Royal. He has also appeared on Love and Other Disasters.

He has appeared on American television in Empire where he portrays Octavius, Julius Caesar’s teenage nephew, whom Caesar named as his successor before his death and Heroes.

In addition to his fluency in Spanish, English, French and Italian, Cabrera is skilled in tennis, hockey and scuba diving. On the 20 January 2007 episode of the NBC late-night program “Vivo Mun2”, Cabrera discussed his semi-professional football career in London before he fully commited to acting. He also stated that C.D. Universidad Católica of Santiago is his favorite team.

Stephen Sowan, born November 17, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, USA, is an American actor.

6′ 1½” tall, Sowan’s first acting role came in 2003, when he had a small role in Leeches!, a low-budget homoerotic horror film directed by David DeCoteau, that revolves around the steroid-enhanced men’s swim team and the steroid-enhanced leeches that prey on them.

About 2-3 years later, Sowan had landed more movie and TV roles including popular shows such as “Reba”, “Monk” and “Laura Smiles” among others.

In 2007, Sowan had a more substantial role in the TV series “The Riches,” appearing in 6 episodes as Erick, about a family of crooks who assume the identity of an upper-middle-class suburban clan in the Deep South.

Sowan’s next project will have him star in movies “My Suicide” as Stoner; “On the Doll” as Tre; and as-yet-untitled TV series written by David Duchovny.

Shahid Kapoor, born February 25, 1981 in Mumbai, India, is a Bollywood actor and model, who’s been nicknamed “Baby of Bollywood”, due to his childish looks.

Kapoor’s debut film came in 2002 in the movie Ishq Vishk (2002) which was a big hit in India. He received the Filmfare Award 2003 in the Debut category for his performance along with the same award from the Star Screen Awards and the Zee Cine Awards.

In 2004, Kapoor starred in two more films: Fida, a thriller co-starring his current girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan as well as Dil Maange More, a romantic comedy.

In 2005 all three of his films, Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi, Deewane Huye Pagal, and Shikhar failed to do well at the box office but his performances were praised. He received a Star Screen Best Actor Nomination for his work in Shikhar.

In 2006, Kapoor received his first box office success since his debut with the multi-starrer, 36 China Town. Despite mixed reviews the comic-thriller became an above-average success. Shortly after the release of 36 China Town, Shahid’s second 2006 release, Chup Chup Ke released, which was an average success.

His most recent film Vivah along with Amrita Rao was a blockbuster

despite its outdated theme. His performance was well appreciated with audiences and critics both in India and abroad.

Kapoor’s new movie Fool and Final was released on June 1, 2007. He will soon be seen in two upcoming films – one by Imtiaz Ali opposite Kareena Kapoor, and one by Aziz Mirza opposite Vidya Balan.

Samuel “Sam” Witwer, born October 20, 1977 in Golf, Illinois, is an American television actor.

Witwer attended Glenbrook South High School, during which time he was involved in drama and theater classes, as well as being the lead singer of a high school band. He attended the Juilliard School of Drama.

Witwer made his acting debut in 2001 as a guest in ER. He has since appeared in a number TV series: as a soldier Jessup in “The Mist”; and as Crashdown on “Battlestar Galactica”, and also released a CD titled “Colorful of the Stereo.”

In 2008, Witwer was cast as Davis Bloome on Smallville and as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice in the multimedia project “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.”

Sean Maguire, born 18 April 1976, Ilford, Essex, is an English actor and singer, best known for his role as Leonidas in the blockbuster comedy “Meet The Spartans”.

Maguire rose to fame in 1988 when at the age of 11 he took on the role of Tegs Ratcliffe on the BBC children’s drama “Grange Hill”. He has appeared in several feature films and had moderate success as a singer as well. He is also known in the US for his roles as “Donovan Brink” in the UPN sitcom Eve, and as Kyle Lendo in the CBS sitcom “The Class”.

His first role was at the age of five, opposite Sir Laurence Olivier in “A Voyage Round My Father”. Like many soap actors, Maguire then pursued a career in music, releasing three albums: his self-titled debut album in 1994, Spirit in 1996, and Greatest Hits in 1998.

Not content with acting on TV, Sean has branched out into films. In the early 90s, he appeared in “Waterland” alongside Ethan Hawke, and “The Secret Garden “.

In 2008, Maguire was recognized internationally when he suited up as Leonidas on the movie “Meet The Spartans”, which went to No. 1 in the US box office chart that year.

Maciej Zakoscielny, born on May 7, 1980, in Stalowa Wola, Poland, is a Polish actor.

Zakoscielny first felt the call of the stage already in elementary school. As a young boy, he participated in talent shows, and won third price for his Shakin’ Steven in the Minilista Przebojow children’s contest!

Zakoscielny studied at the School of Performing Arts for thirteen years, majoring in music – his instrument was the violin, but also piano and lately, African drums. One of his major hobbies, which he dedicated five years of his growing-up life on was karate. All this helped him into University of Performing Arts in Warsaw, where he wanted to study drama.

Zakoscielny’s first major on-screen role came in 2005, as he won the male lead in the romantic comedy “Tylko Mnie Kochaj” (Just love me). But that wasn’t his first brush with the acting world – fans know him well from the TV screens.

Zakoscielny was a keen actor, participating in many polish productions, such as the series “Plebania”, “Sfora” or “Samo Zycie”. He also starred in a supporting role in the historical “Stara Basn” (2004), showing early Polish history and in the widely loved show “Kryminalni” (Homicide Unit), as lieutenant Marek Brodecki.
