Gym Eye Candy: Carlos Morales

Saw him in the gym last Sunday.  He’s still bulky and goodlooking up to now but he has matured so much since he was popular back in the day. I don’t exactly know what he’s up to now but I think he’s still goodlooking enough to do movie or TV work.  He’s just really muscled, I guess, which limits his choices of roles, since normal people don’t really look buffed as he is.

Hunk – Cam Gigandet

He has a small but important role in the movie, ‘Easy A’.  I have seen him in another movie where he plays the cocky fighter, but in this movie, his role is a bit funny since he plays the boyfriend of a Jesus freak!  He does not take off his shirt in this movie but I think he has many movies where he does just that!

Shirtless Love in Burlesque

The verdict is in!  Everyone I know who watched Burlesque couldn’t take their eyes off its leading man, Cam Gigandet, who romanced Christina Aguilera here.  This role is such a departure from what I usually see him do – the punk, badass boxer who beats everybody up!  Here, he is sensitive and caring and cute, and funny – and really, I want to have some of his cookies!  That bedroom scene where he wears that ridiculous red pajamas is so cute – and really funny!!

Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman

I love dancing so I normally gravitate to watch dance-inspired movies, which are quite popular right now.  Step Up 2 was released 2 years ago and I saw it again tonight at Star Movies. Still fun to watch and still for me, the best thing about the movie, are its two eye candies who can dance – Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffmann.  They have the moves and they’re both hot!

Ardie Bascara

I watched the gay indie movie, ‘Brod’ tonight and one of the main characters there playing a ‘lord’ in a fraternity is Basti Romero.  It’s actually the first time I saw him in a movie, although in this picture below, it was from the movie, Santuaryo, which I actually found boring.  The love scenes of Basti and Kenjie Garcia in this movie is steaming hot and in a way, a no-holds barred type of making love.  He’s really hot in the movie and he’s quite straight acting in movement and the way he talks.  I’m just surprised he hasn’t appeared in many other gay indie movies.

Movie Review

I just watched Brod tonight at Robinson’s indie cinema and it’s a pretty interesting movie.  It deviates a bit from the usual gay movie themes and instead ensconces itself in a particularly macho environment of the college fraternity.  I like most of the actors here.  Ardie Bascara is particularly hot and sexy as the roommate and the ‘lord’ of his roommate, Kenjie Garcia.  Kenjie’s best friend in the movie, Paul Jake Paule is hilarious here while Xeno Alejandro, who plays the leader of the fraternity comes off really masculine and hot!  The story is ok and the sex scenes are worth the price of the ticket.  These guys really hit it off like they were into each other! Nice!  I don’t like the part where they die though.  Why does someone always have to die in a gay indie movie?  We’re ‘gay’!! They didn’t label us the ‘tragics’ or the ‘sad’.

Andrew Lincoln

Not since the True Blood series debuted in these shores did I pencil in my calendar, another US TV series that I was excited about.  For the past two weeks, several cable channels here in the Philippines were promoting the TV show ‘The Walking Dead’ – and since I’m so into zombies, I was very excited to see it last night.

Well, the good thing first!  The lead character played by Andrew Lincoln is, in my book, a hot Daddy hunk!  He does have a shirtless scene in the beginning as he struggles out of his hospital.  There is another Daddy hunk which I will research on later.

Now, to the bad thing.  The zombies walk so slow.  Recent movies with zombies (28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later, I Am Legend) show that they are able to run and jump and wreck havoc!  Now, those are the zombies that I like!  It makes for terrifying viewing!  I do hope as this series progresses, the zombies will be made to run! There’s nothing as terrifying as zombies who can run as fast as you!

Andrew Lincoln

Andrew Lincoln is one of the two reasons why I watch The Walking Dead.  How can you say no to those dreamy eyes!  The other reason, of course, are the zombies.  It is entitled Walking Dead, after all, because of them.  I have seen only season 1 yet and Andrew has already been shirtless in several scenes, which is very good for me.  He’s hot!  That the series is exciting and thrilling is just the bonus!

Geeky Hunk – Andrew Garfield

British actor, Andrew Garfield, plays a cute geeky hunk in ‘The Social Network’ and I really feel sorry for him in the movie!  Zuckerberg really does not treat him so well by keeping too many secrets from him.  It’s too bad Zuckie feels Andrew’s character is holding him back.  Good thing he gets compensated for all the stress though! I’m curious as to what role he gets next since I want to hear him use the British accent.  I’m sure he would be real sexy to look at!

‘Never Let Me Go’!!

Fresh from watching the Black Swan and the Oscar telecast last week, I can’t help but compare and wonder – what if Darren Aronofsky directed the screenplay adaptation of ‘Never Let Me Go’!  There would’ve been more blood and the movie wouldn’t have plodded on too much.  Frankly, I fell asleep throughout much of it which is sad, because I was so into this book when I read it a few years back.  It’s just that, it isn’t quite what I pictured it to be!  I knew it was supposed to be set in England, with all the rain and its dreariness, but this movie is way too dreary!  I love the casting though!  Topnotch!  Aside from this three – I also saw Sally Hawkins and Charlotte Rampling!  Sublime!

Now if only there was a better storyteller because in the movie – everything really has to be visual!  The images I created in my mind did not match very much what I saw in the movie. Oh well, at least Hollywood tried.
