Movie Review

I just watched Brod tonight at Robinson’s indie cinema and it’s a pretty interesting movie.  It deviates a bit from the usual gay movie themes and instead ensconces itself in a particularly macho environment of the college fraternity.  I like most of the actors here.  Ardie Bascara is particularly hot and sexy as the roommate and the ‘lord’ of his roommate, Kenjie Garcia.  Kenjie’s best friend in the movie, Paul Jake Paule is hilarious here while Xeno Alejandro, who plays the leader of the fraternity comes off really masculine and hot!  The story is ok and the sex scenes are worth the price of the ticket.  These guys really hit it off like they were into each other! Nice!  I don’t like the part where they die though.  Why does someone always have to die in a gay indie movie?  We’re ‘gay’!! They didn’t label us the ‘tragics’ or the ‘sad’.
