Andy Grant, born February 3, 1985, in Walnut Creek, California, is an American swimmer.

Grant is a graduate of Livermore High School in Livermore, CA, where he was a four-year letterwinner in both swimming and water polo. Now, a college student majoring in Computer Science at Stanford University.

In 2003-04 Season (Freshman), Grant took seventh in the 1650 free at the Pac-10 Championships, touching the wall in a season-best 15:23.37. He finished 10th overall at Pac-10s (second in the consolation final) in the 500 free with a season-best time of 4:23.69.

In 2004-05 Season (Sophomore), Grant set the school record at the NCAA’s with a time of 1:33.97 in the 200 yard freestyle (third place) at the NCAA Championship. He was crowned the Pac-10 champion in the 200 free (1:34.38). His time of 4:17.28 in the 500 yard freestyle at the Pac-10 Championship is a career-best and sixth-best in school history .

In 2005-06 Season (Junior), Grant gained All-American honors at the NCAA Championship in the 200 free and 200 back, and also as a member of the 400 free relay . At the Pac-10 Championship, he played a major role in securing Stanford’s 25th league title as he anchored the second place 400 free relay, finished third in the 200 free, ran the second leg on the third place 800 free relay and placed fifth in the 200 back .

In National Competition, Grant earned a silver medal in the 800m free relay at the 2002 Summer Senior Nationals; took home a bronze medal in that event in 2003; and competed at the 2004 USA Swimming National Championships, taking seventh in the 100 free.

Grant will be a member of the 25-man United States team that will compete at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2007.
