Roman Pavlyuchenko, born December 15, 1981 in Mostovskoy, is a Russian footballer of Ukrainian ancestry, best known for playing in the center forward position for Spartak Moscow and the Russian national team.
Pavlyuchenko made his first team debut for Dynamo Stavropol in 1999. He moved to Rotor Volgograd in 2000 where he stayed for three years.
Pavlyuchenko moved to Spartak Moscow in spring 2003. Since then, Pavlyuchenko has been the most prolific goalscorer for the club, scoring 67 goals in 130 games.
