American Actor – Joseph Gordon Levitt

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, born February 17, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor.

For two years, Gordon-Levitt attended Columbia University, later dropping out to concentrate on acting.

Gordon-Levitt began acting at the age of six, appearing in several late 1980s made-for-television films and two episodes of the series Family Ties. After having a lead role on a prime time soap opera, the short-lived 1991 remake of Dark Shadows, he made his feature-film debut as a young version of Craig Sheffer’s character in 1992’s A River Runs Through It. In 1994, he played a Hutterite boy in the comedy, Holy Matrimony, and appeared in the lead role of the successful Disney film, Angels in the Outfield. In 1996, he began playing Tommy Solomon on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, a role for which he may still be best known.

During the late 1990s, he also appeared in several films, including The Juror (1996), as Demi Moore’s character’s son, the horror film Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, as a pre-credit victim, and the Shakespeare-based teen comedy 10 Things I Hate about You, in which he played a leading role.

After 3rd Rock from the Sun ended its run in 2001, Gordon-Levitt appeared in what has been described by critics as a series “of acclaimed and underseen indies”, including 2001’s drama Manic, which was set in a mental institution, 2005’s Mysterious Skin, in which he played a gay street hustler, and 2005’s Brick, a modern-day film noir set at a high school, in which he plays the lead role of Brendan Frye, a teen who becomes involved in an underground drug ring while investigating a murder. Brick received generally positive reviews, with one critic commenting that Gordon-Levitt plays the character “beautifully”, “true to film’s style”, “unfeeling but not disenchanted” and “sexy in the most ambiguous way”, and another describing the performance as “astounding”. He has also done the voice of the main character Jim Hawkins in the Disney animated feature, Treasure Planet. His other credit includes Latter Days, The Juror, and Angels in the Outfield.

Gordon-Levitt’s upcoming roles include Killshot, playing an assassin opposite Diane Lane and Mickey Rourke, The Lookout, playing a mentally handicapped janitor involved in a bank heist, and Shadowboxer.

Josh Holloway, born in San Jose, California on July 20th, 1969, is an American actor most likely known for his role as James “Sawyer” Ford on ABC’s Emmy award-winning show Lost.

Though born in Silicon Valley, Holloway was moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia at the age of two. He is the second of four brothers. He developed an interest for movies at a very young age. He studied at the University of Georgia but quit after only one year to become a successful male fashion model, which took him all over Europe and North America.

Holloway’s ambition for acting took him to Los Angeles, where he got a role in the comedy Doctor Benny. He followed that up with lead roles in the movies Mi Amigo, Moving August, and Cold Heart.

After those roles, he gained notice for his lead role in the Sci-Fi Channel movie Sabretooth with David Keith and John Rhys-Davies. He has also made appearances in Good Girls Don’t…, NCIS, Walker, Texas Ranger, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , and Angel. Holloway appeared in the Aerosmith video for the song “Cryin'” as a thief who tries to steal Alicia Silverstone’s purse from a diner, but she catches up to him and beats him up. He struggled for eight years before his big break on the hit TV show “Lost”.

In January of 2006, In Touch Weekly named Holloway the “hottest hunk” on television. In the same month, Holloway was voted the 17th sexiest guy worldwide by British readers of OK! magazine.

James Hyde, born October 9, 1962, is an American actor and former male fashion model, who plays the role of Sam Bennett on the television soap opera Passions. Hyde is a native of Lancaster, Ohio where is was born and raised.

Hyde was discovered in Hawaii and he soon began modeling. Modeling has taken Hyde all over the globe, to places such as Japan, Amsterdam and London, and also introduced him to his wife, Sue-Ling Garcia, whom he married in 1994. They have a son, James Moses.

He has roles in the films “The Blackout” (not yet released state-side) and “Let’s Talk About Sex”.

“Passions” is far from Hyde’s first foray into daytime television. In 1996, he won an open casting call competition for Sunset Beach, and appeared in the promos for the show. In 1997, he was picked up for a recurring role in “Another World” as Neil Johansson, then went on to a short stint on “As the World Turns” as Liam in 1999.

Josh Henderson, born October 25, 1981 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is an American actor, best known for playing Edie Britt’s 18 year old nephew, Austin, in the popular TV series Desperate Housewives.

Henderson has had a recurring role as Josh on the hit UPN show One on One. He is also known for dating pop singer Ashlee Simpson. The couple ended their relationship in 2004 after dating for two years; their breakup was featured in the first episode of Simpson’s reality show, The Ashlee Simpson Show.

Henderson has appeared in several movies: Step Up (2006); Broken Bridges (2006); Yours, Mine and Ours (2005), and Leeches! (2003) to name a few. He has recently landed the role of Penn in the movie Fingerprints to be released in 2007.

In addition to acting, Henderson is also a singer. His first brush with stardom came on The WB series Pop Stars 2 in 2001 when he was one of five singers selected for the pop group Scene 23. But weeks after his first album was released, his recording label London Sire folded.

Growing up in Tulsa, where his Mom still lives with his two step-sisters (Hannah and Chelsea) and step-dad, Josh focused more on music and baseball than on acting, and he intends to pursue his music career even though acting has now become his priority. “The music is a hybrid of rock, R&B and radio friendly pop, but the lyrics are serious and about deep issues,” Josh explains.

Korean TV Drama Series Actor – Joo Ji Hoon

Joo Ji-Hoon, born May 16, 1982, is a Korean model-turned-actor who is known for playing Crown Prince Lee Shin in a major Korean TV Drama Series “Goong” (also called as, “Palace”, or “Princess Hours.”)

Before entering the entertainment industry, Ji-Hoon studied in Dongwon University and majored in e-Business. He was known as “Handy Man” in his school for his tall height (6’2″). In 2003, he went into modelling and advertised for names like Calvin Klein, LEVI’s and Reebok. He has also won awards for modelling.

When it was announced that Ji-Hoon would be playing Prince Shin in the drama Princess Hours, fans of the manhwa protested, as they wanted a familiar face to portray that role. However, after the drama was aired, criticism ceased.

In 2006, Joo Ji-Hoon won MBS Drama Awards Best New Actor for this role.
