New Zealand Actor – Karl Urban

Karl Urban, born June 7, 1972, is a New Zealand actor, best known for playing the menacing killer hired to take Bourne out in The Bourne Supremacy.

Urban is also known for playing Éomer, in the second and third films of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings film trilogy based on the books by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Some of his earlier work included roles on New Zealand soap Shortland Street, which apparently interrupted his planned attendance of Victoria University of Wellington, and a guest role on the second season of police drama Shark in the Park.

Urban was seen on the internationally syndicated American television shows Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in which he played both Cupid and Julius Caesar from 1996 to 2001. These shows were filmed in New Zealand.

He also co-starred in The Chronicles of Riddick with Vin Diesel.

Karl Urban also played John “Reaper” Grimm, one of the lead characters in Universal Pictures’ Doom which was released on October 21, 2005.

Kevin Zegers was born on September 19, 1984 in Ontario Canada. He has two sisters, Katie and Krista, and two very proud parents: Jim and Mary Ellen.

If you rent the film “Life With Mikey” you will have the chance to see Kevin’s very first film role as none other than little Mikey on the television series! Of course, Kevin went on to star in many more television and film projects.

When talking about High School, Kevin says that it really wasn’t a problem being well known there. Kevin is still acting and hopes to “maybe direct some day. I also want to get into Sports Medicine and maybe travel with a professional team as a trainer.” Kevin’s advice to young actors is simple: “Three years after I started acting, I went a whole year of auditioning like crazy and didn’t get booked on any of them. Just when I wanted to quit, I landed a lead in a film and haven’t stopped working since.” And what role does Kevin consider his favorite? He couldn’t pick just one, but has to say one of them is “It Came From The Sky” where he played the part of a 13-year-old that had suffered from oxygen deprivation. He also thinks his first coming-of-age film, “Four Days” was a great character with a dark personality with a lot of baggage.

About his appearance on Aaron Spelling’s “Titans” – Kevin reported when he joined the cast that “I had a great time with the dogs and the monkeys, but it’s gonna be real cool to work with all these good actors too,” says Kevin, referring to Titans’ human cast. Titans was cancelled by NBC, but Kevin isn’t too heart-broken to be heading back to his hometown in Canada. “I find it difficult [Hollywood], and I don’t feel much like ass-kissing, which is why I like to come home as much as possible. People here are just real.”

Zegers says he plans to keep going to school, to become either a teacher or doctor. “I need something to fall back on. I see me doing this for a while, but I want to have a family and kids someday, and I don’t think this industry has a very good family atmosphere,” he says. “When all is said and done I’m going to be living in Canada with a wife and kids, hopefully.”

South Korean Actor – Kwon Sang-woo

Kwon Sang-woo, born August 5, 1976, in Daejeon, is a South Korean actor. Prior to acting, he worked as a model.

Sang-woo’s acting career began with a movie Volcano High. He was cast by a director who had the foresight of Kwon’s talent for acting. Then he was in the movie Make it Big with actor Song Seung-heon. He didn’t have a large role, but audiences remembered him well for his lean body.

The next movie pushed his popularity over the edge – Tutoring A Friend rose Kwon to stardom as over millions of people came to watch it in theaters! It seems like he was an overnight success.

After making it big in the movies, he moved onto the small screen. Mexican Actor – Khotan Fernandez Tapajos

Khotan Fernandez Tapajos, or simply known by his first name Khotan, born April 27, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, is a Mexican actor.

Khotan’s first TV stint was in 1998, playing the role of Ransel in the TV series Preciosa. He subsequently appeared in several soap operas, “Amor gitano” (1999), “Alma rebelde” (1999), “Yo vendo unos ojos negros” (2003), “Vale todo” (2002), and as a host of “Al exito TV” show just to name a few.

Khotan is currently playing the role of Sergio in the 2005 TV series “Corazón partido”. He will soon star as Caronte in El Cartel currently in production.

In addition to his acting career, Khotan is a successful model in his country. He has appeared in two TV commercials for Campaña canal Cinco and Direct TV.

Khotan has also modelled for a number of Ad campaigns including Vogue L´ Umo (Italia), Vogue USA, Circo (México), Atrevida (México), Sears Roebuck, Palacio de Hierro, Michael Domit, and Edición especial de Somos.
