Ryan Phillippe, born September 10, 1974 in New Castle, Delaware as Matthew Ryan Phillippe, is an American actor.

His first role was as Billy Douglas, daytime television’s first gay teenager, in the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. After leaving the show, he moved to Los Angeles, where he struggled for a time before landing a number of small parts in various television shows and movies, including White Squall (1996).

Later that year he played the part of Barry Cox in I Know What You Did Last Summer with Jennifer Love Hewitt. The movie was a summer hit and led to a starring role in 54 in 1998, alongside Salma Hayek, Mike Myers, and Breckin Meyer.

In 1999, Phillippe landed the role of Sebastian Valmont in Cruel Intentions, a modern retelling of the Choderlos de Laclos’ novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses. The movie was both a critical and box office hit amongst its intended teenage audience. This was the second time that Phillippe had worked alongside television’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, Sarah Michelle Gellar. He also appeared alongside his future wife, Reese Witherspoon.

In 2000, Phillippe starred opposite Benicio Del Toro in The Way of the Gun, followed with his role as a wizard software engineer in the high-tech thriller Antitrust. In 2001, Ryan co-starred in Robert Altman’s critically-acclaimed Gosford Park, with several of England’s most respected actors, including Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, Helen Mirren, and Emily Watson.

Ryan plans to forge a career as a producer with his production company, Lucid Films.

Ryan hails from a fairly ordinary background; his father works as a chemist for DuPont and his mother manages a day care center.

In 1997, Ryan attended a party given for Reese Witherspoon’s 21st birthday. Upon meeting the guest of honor, Phillippe was immediately mesmerized and spent all night talking to the young actress. The two began a long distance courtship by mail, e-mail, and telephone.

Phillippe and Witherspoon married in the summer of 1999 and had a daughter named Ava later that year. Their son Deacon was born in 2003.

Rick Gonzalez, born June 30, 1979 in New York City, is a Hispanic-American actor.

Gonzalez is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. His parents met in New York City where they married. They settled down in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn where they raised Rick. There, he attended elementary and Jr. high school. Ever since he was a young child, Rick would put on improvised “shows” for his family and participate in all of his school’s plays. His teachers were instrumental in convincing Rick to apply and try out for the High School of the Performing Arts, on which the movie Fame was based, in Manhattan. He did as suggested and was accepted. In 1997, he graduated and began to pursue a career in acting.

Rick started his acting career in New York where he landed a small role in the made for television movie Thicker Than Blood (1998) as Sanchez. In 1999, he made his feature movie debut as Ricky in the movie Mambo Cafe, which was released in the year 2000. He followed that by participating in the film Prince of Central Park (2000) before heading
for Los Angeles, California.

In Hollywood, he landed a small part as a gangbanger in the 2001 film Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. His reputation as an actor started to grow with the roles of Rudy Bonilla in The Rookie, starring Dennis Quaid and as the sex-crazed Primo in the 2003 movie Biker Boyz. In 2005, he played the role of Timo Cruz in the movie Coach Carter. Rick also appeared in Twista’s video Hope, which is the lead single off the Coach Carter movie soundtrack. He also starred in the video to Obie Trice’s song Snitch, where he plays a member of a group who successfully pull off a bank robbery, and then snitches on them.

Among the other movies in which Rick has participated in are the 2003 comedy Old School (alongside Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell), Laurel Canyon (2003) as Wyett, Subway Cafe (2004) as Vincent Young, War of the Worlds as Vincent, and Roll Bounce as Naps.

Ross Thomas, born August 21, 1981, in Stockton, California, is an American actor.

Thomas graduated in May 2005 from University of Southern California with a B.A. in Theatre Arts.

Thomas has already garnered critical praise from fans and audiences and is fast becoming one of today’s biggest breakout stars.

In 2006, Thomas wrapped production on the feature film, “The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold” , playing an extreme sports professional turned figure skater; Ross performed many of his own stunts both on the ice and the ramp.

Other film credits include the critically acclaimed title role of Seth in the critically acclaimed independent film “What’s Bugging Seth”, a story of a young deaf man trying to start his own business while facing all of life’s obstacles that present to handicapped persons. Additionally, Ross starred opposite Lesly Jordan in the hysterical independent dark comedy “Sissy French Fry,” also a film festival winner.

Peter Berg was born on March 11, 1964 in Manhattan and raised in suburban Chappaqua, New York. Peter was exposed to theatre early in life by his parents, who often took him to Broadway shows.

Peter didn’t become interested in acting however until he attended college at Macalester in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he spent three winters working as a delivery boy for Domino’s Pizza, “The roads freeze up and give new meaning to 30 minutes or less” – Berg.

After his graduation from college, Berg moved to Los Angeles, where he took odd jobs ranging from production assistant to dock worker. Peter got his first ‘break’ when he was spotted by an agent while performing in a play. This landed him a guest starring role as Sawyer, on “21 Jump Street”.

As we all know, this was the beginning of a wonderful career, that ranges from acting to writing to directing and even producing.

Most fans know him for his portrayal of ‘Dr. Billy Kronk’ on CBS’ Chicago Hope. Peter joined the cast of the hit show midway through it’s first year. Prior to this though, David E. Kelly, the show’s producer, was taken by Peter’s performance in the sexy sleeper hit film “The Last Seduction” This performance is why Peter got the call to audition and why we were able to enjoy Dr. Kronk, the cocky, streetwise, part time hockey playing, surgeon who would go to all lengths to save a paitent, even using a chainsaw for an emergency amputation, this would be one of the events that would help to title him the ‘cowboy’ of the hospital. Peter not only starred on Hope, but he also directed and helped to write a few of the episodes.

This would help him further in his career as he would later go on to write and direct (and if you listen closely had a quick speaking part in the ER scene), “Very Bad Things” starring Christian Slater and Cameron Diaz. Also, “Wonderland” a show in which he wrote, directed and produced (and if you look closely had a small quick cameo in the pilot) which aired on ABC. Unfortunately the show was put on ‘hiatus’ after airing only two eps and then cancelled. “I literally had to laugh. I thought he was kidding.” (Speaking about the co-chairman of ABC, Stu Bloomberg – Noting that ABC pitted Wonderland against NBC’s phenomenally successful E.R.) “They’re telling me that the show could not find an audience after two episodes while it was being pitted against one of the most popular series in the history of television…It’s absurd” – Berg. Fans of the show and of Peter’s work, wrote in trying to save “Wonderland” and even boycotted by not watching any ABC programming, hoping that ABC would put “Wonderland” back on the air.

Peter told his parents when he was in highschool that he didn’t want to be “just another brick in the wall” I think we can all agree that he got what he wanted. His talents stand out far above many, he’s a man who pushes the envelope every chance he gets and he does things his way and doesn’t cave to others just becuase they don’t understand and or agree to his ways and I admire that!

Peter and Elizabeth Rogers divorced in 1997. He has since remarried and now has a baby son. Baby Berg was reported as 3 months old in February of 2000.

Salvador Zerboni, born in May 3, in Mexico City, is a Mexican actor whose breakthrough role was Esteban in the TV series, “Machos.”

Zerboni entered the stage in 1998 and performed in “Stultiferamentis,” “La Cabeza de El,” and “Short Eyes.”

In 2000, Zerboni made his film debut in a small part in “Sangre Joven.” In the following years, he starred in several minor roles in TV series such as “Machos,” Lo Que Callamos las Mujeres,” and “Rebelbe.”

Paul Logan, born October 15, 1973 in New Jersey, USA, is an American actor.

Logan was raised in Valley Cottage, New York. He graduated at SUNY Purchase College as a bio-chemistry major then moved to California to attend the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. With only 1000 chiropractic hours left, he took a leave of absence and took up acting full time.

Canadian Actor – Shawn Roberts

Shawn Roberts, born in 1984 in Stratford, Ontario, is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Cody in the 2000 big budget blockbuster, “X-Men.”

Roberts was spotted by Robert Forsythe, a Gemini award-winning screenwriter, when he appeared as the wolf in a school production of Little Red Riding Hood. Forsythe, the father of one of Shawn’s friends, recommended the boy to a high profile Toronto acting agency.

His first role was a guest appearance on the TV series Sirens in 1994. In 1996, Forsythe helped Shawn land a regular role on the brand new TV series Emily of New Moon, playing Emily’s love interest, Teddy Kent. Filmed in Prince Edward Island, the show wouldn’t air until 1998. In the meantime, Shawn kept busy with two guest appearances on Goosebumps.

Once Emily of New Moon hit the airwaves, Shawn was deluged with offers. In 1999, he made guest appearances on Real Kids, Real Adventures, La Femme Nikita, The Famous Jett Jackson and Twice in a Lifetime. As well, he played Peter in the TV movie Sea People, starring Hume Cronyn, and made his feature film debut as Daniel in Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang (1999).

The role of Cody in the big budget blockbuster, X-Men (2000), launched Roberts into the big time. Roles in Hollywood pictures such as Get Over It (2001) starring Kirsten Dunst and The House on Turk Street (2002) starring Samuel L. From the Prince Charming, Rodrigo Santoro has more than the pretty face. The life of Globo’s actor is worthy of fairy tales. Poor boy tries luck in
Rio de Janeiro, works on TV, gets famous and becomes first great Brazilian star since Sônia Braga to have a possibility of success in Hollywood. Invited to star blockbusters like ”Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle” or artistic movies like ”Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone” and comedies like ”Love Actually”, soon Santoro it will stop to impress only the Brazilian public to also conquer the American, the French, the English, the Canadian…

It is obvious that, nowadays, the world can seem vast and inviting. But around ten years ago, Santoro’s world was resumed to the historical streets and the mountain climate of Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro state, where he was born and spent most of childhood. Of his Italian father, he inherited the hot blood, the ability to prepare pasta and the stunning almond-shaped eyes. Of his mother, painter and sculptor, came other characteristics that would help him in the future career: sensitivity and passion for the arts.

Santoro showed interest for the stage since his childhood. At home, he organized puppet theater for the family on holidays, like Christmas and Easter. In Colégio Aplicação, where he studied, with help of a Portuguese professor, he adapted TV movies to what they used to call “litero-musical session” (to have an idea, Rodrigo, today all serious, at that time amused himself staging teen-trash as ”Private Resort”). In stage, he had an incredible magnetism and it’s from this time his first girlfriend, at 14 years old. Santoro usually says that, after her, he had only two others serious passions despite gossip magazines always placing him aside to some beauty.

As it usually happens to suburban young people, by the time of his 17th birthday, Santoro started to notice that the axle of its life if had dislocated to Rio De Janeiro. His journeys down the mountain were every time more frequent: to surf with friends, to study for the “vestibular” (Brazilian equivalent of SATs) or to practise his dramatical verve in the Globo School of Actors. Working with these three activities the body, mind and spirit, it was only matter of time until Santoro was noticed by some network watcher.

Santoro started college studying Publicity/Advertising in the Pontifical University Catholic and soon obtained its first role on TV, a small part in the supernatural soap opera ”Olho no Olho”. At this time, he still lived in a students dorm – from where he had run away after almost being shot by a lost bullet in its first apartment, in front for a “favela” in Copacabana. Things started to get better in 1994, when he got his first part in Prime Time, with the ”Pátria Minha” soap opera. The show, however, was rejected by the public and shortened after scandals with the protagonist, the actress Vera Fischer. With the money he got from ”Pátria Minha”, he rented his own apartment, in Leblon, where he can still be seen training daily in the beach.

In 1996, its magnificent body of 1m90 and 87kg already attracted the eyes of little girls, what ended up guaranteeing the main male role on the six o’clock soap ”O Amor Está no Ar”. The project, involving a loving triangle intergeneration and extra-terrestrials, only brought him trouble: due to the filming schedule, he had to leave college and the final result of the story was not good at all. To compensate the loss of artistic ambition of ”O Amor está no Ar”, Santoro participated, in the same year and for free, of praised short ”Depois do Escuro”.

Two years later, Santoro hit the screens, the media that would give him more prizes and homages. He had a small part in ”Como Ser Solteiro”, that ended up being overcasted by his better and very more excellent performance, in Globo’s miniseries ”Hilda Furacão”. It was there that Santoro, in the part of the tormented Friar Malthus, showed for the first time that he could be a serious actor, instead of only a pretty face.Rodrigo still thinks that this was one of the most difficult experiences of its life, due to the dramatical load of the character. He went through this phase with an actress that also had to prove herself more than a beautiful face in the business: Ana Paula Arósio.

Some said that the two were dating, but Santoro was already spending much more time with the beautiful Luana Piovani, that he met in the play ”Os Três Mosqueteiros”, also played by his friends Thierry Figueira, Pedro Vasconcelos and Marcelo Faria. Their relationship lasted more than two years.

In 1999, the actor started flirting with Hollywood when invited to be the voice of the little mouse protagonist of ”Stuart Little”, huge success that had a sequel in 2002 (also voiced by Santoro). Still in 1999, Santoro had a role in the soap ”Suave Veneno”, another public failure, and a small part in ”O Trapalhão e a Luz Azul”, well-succeeded comedy by Renato Aragão, Brazilian comedian.

The first big role in the movies would come with ”Bicho de Sete Cabeças” (Brainstorm), of Laís Bodasnky, in 2001. The first public exhibition ending up to be symptomatic for Santoro: when he and the director went to present the movie in the Brasilia Festival, he was booed due to his role in the idiotic soap ”Estrela-Guia”, with the singer Sandy as the leading actress. Nobody took him seriously. But, to the end of the session, the public was mesmerized with his interpretation as a young man kept unjustly in a cruel psychiatric clinic, and gave him a standing ovation. It was considered by critics one of the best movies of the year and was worth to Santoro the invitation to work in another movie that would equally be praised: ”Abril Despedaçado” (Behind the Sun), by Walter Salles.

A national consensus was formed on his talent and persistence (that would be proved in another project of a great director: ”Carandiru”, by Hector Babenco, where he would live a travesty), and Santoro started to expand his horizon. A Canadian director, who saw him in a special exhibition of ”Bicho de Sete Cabeças” went crazy trying to contact the actor to have Rodrigo in his new film, ”Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone”. The director finally obtained Rodrigo’s father personal telephone and, when the actor knew about it, he accepted the invitation in the hour. He filmed in Rome for two months aside of names as Helen Mirren (of ”Gosford Park”), Anne Bancroft (of ”The Graduate”) and Maggie Smith (of ”Harry Potter series).

Almost simultaneously, Santoro received another proposal he could not reject. While divulging ”Abril Despedaçado” in Los Angeles, he was contacted by Columbia Pictures executives who wanted to offer to a special participation in blockbuster ”Charlie’s to it Angels 2: Full Throttle”.

The dream of a Brazilian in Hollywood had become truth. There was a true national commotion, all applauding the actor and even creations of rumors, like his ”caliente” relationship with colleague Cameron Diaz. Some even said that he had stolen the model Gisele Bündchen from Leonardo DiCaprio. Both rumors, however, were not true. It is fact, however, that the colleagues melt themselves in compliments to the beautiful Brazilian hunk. The director of ”Charlie’s Angels 2”, McG, called him ”hottie”, ”brave” and ”very exciting”.

His presence in a gigantic project as ”Charlie’s Angels 2” helped to open other doors for Santoro, in Hollywood. He was already casted for another movie, the romantic comedy ”Love Actually”, with Hugh Grant, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Rowan Atkinson. Once more, only stars.

In the middle of this fame, success and money tempest, Rodrigo Santoro tries to remain calm and humble. He still practices meditation and sports when it’s possible and had refused to move to Los Angeles. His home is really at Rio de Janeiro – a shelter where he can listen to The Doors, read William Shakespeare and watch all movies of his favorite actors, like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The way things are moving to Santoro, soon he’ll enjoy his favorites side by side, on a filming set in Hollywood. It’s only a matter of time.
