Garrett Hedlund-The Hunk in Tron

I just watched Tron today and the actor playing the son of Jeff Bridges’ character is another up-and-coming actor named Garrett Hedlund.  He is really perfect for the role – tall, lean and scruffy-looking!  They had to be lean since most of the cast was asked to wear an almost swimsuit style of Lycra clothing where there is almost no way for a ‘fatter’ actor to hide all the unwanted bulges!  He also had that suitable daredevil look and that devil-may-care attitude, which is important in depicting his character to the audience.  I’ve seen that Garrett also stars in the Gwyneth Paltrow film, Country Strong, so his star should slowly rise this year – after these two high profile appearances.
