Five Things I Liked About ‘The Eagle’

I love movies set in the Roman Empire! And moreso, I love it when they have two hunks as the leads.  In ‘The Eagle’ Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell form an unwieldy alliance to recover the eagle from the hands of a northern tribe in Britain, during the Roman period.
I enjoyed the film and here are the reasons why –
1.  Channing Tatum – Hot actor.  Perfect role. I never thought he could pull off a ‘period’ role, but he does here!  And he has his vulnerable moments here!  Very sexy to watch!

2.  Jamie Bell – he looks hot here – none of that geeky persona anymore – just check out the first scene he appears in!  And I like the bond he forms with Channing – it’s a true bro-mance without the sex…..

3.  The fight scenes – what’s a movie set in the Roman Empire without the fight scenes!  I love that scene where Channing shows off his bravery by throwing a spear into the wagon of leader of their enemy.  And that formation they did as he rescued his men in an attack of their fort.
All in all, it’s an entertaining movie about bravery and honor and all that stuff.  I’d hate though to be born at that time.  The sound of the sword slashing through one’s guts is …………
