Alex Sayhi, Fitness male model

Alex Sayhi, born in 1985, in Paris, Ile-de-France, is a French model, martial artist and aspiring actor.

Sayhi has three passions: martial arts, acrobatics stunts and acting. He is a member and co-creator of “Team Chinese Box,” a group of young people from Nice, France, who create filmed sequences with martial arts.

As an actor Sayhi’s appeared in “My Father’s Son”, a short film that was produced in New York. As a model, he secured his first advertising campaign in 2008 for “Motorola” cellphone.

Sayhi is an artist at heart, he’s also into film editing and directing.

Professional footballer – Valon Behrami

Valon Behrami, born April 19, 1985 in Mitrovica, Kosovo (then Yugoslavia), is a Swiss midfielder currently playing professional football for S.S. Lazio of Italian Serie A.

Born to Albanian parents, as a young child Behrami moved to Stabio, a village in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, where he obtained his Swiss nationality.

Behrami started out playing football with Swiss club sides FC Stabio, FC Chiasso and FC Lugano. After a number of impressive appearances with FC Lugano, he was jointly signed by Italian teams Genoa and Udinese in the 2003-04 season, and played for Genoa in the Serie B championship.

In the 2004-5 season, Genoa bought out Udinese’ rights to the player and loaned him out to Hellas Verona, again in Serie B. After an impressive season with Hellas Verona, Lazio signed him in the summer of 2005. He currently wears the #85 jersey for Lazio.

Behrami has also been capped for the Switzerland national football team at the Under-18, Under-19 and “A” levels. For the Swiss national team, Behrami scored a key goal against Turkey in the Stade de Suisse in the 1st leg of their World Cup 2006 qualifer playoff tie.

Tom Boonen, born on October 15, 1980 in Mol, Belgium, is a Belgian road bicycle racer and is the 2005 World Road Race Champion.

Boonen is considered a single-day road race specialist with a strong finishing sprint. His personality and looks, combined with his successes, also turned him into Belgium’s main male sports idol of the mid-2000s.

2005 was the year in which Boonen firmly established himself as a competitor on the world stage. Winning the Ronde van Vlaanderen, Paris-Roubaix, E3 Prijs Vlaanderen, and finishing second in the Omloop “Het Volk”, he stamped his authority on the cobbled Spring Classics. Boonen also became the first cyclist in history to win the Ronde van Vlaanderen, Paris-Roubaix, and the World Cycling Championship in the same season.

At the end of the year Boonen won several awards: Kristallen Fiets (Crystal Bicycle), Vélo d’Or (Golden Bicycle), Trofee voor Sportverdienste (Trophy For Sporting Merit), Belgian Sportsman of the year and Belgian Sports Personality of the Year.

In 2006, Boonen again had an incredible start of the season, highlighted by winning the Ronde van Vlaanderen again.

In his 2007 season, Boonen took part in the Tour de France. In the absence of main rival Alessandro Petacchi, and an early injury of Robbie McEwen, he met the expectations by winning two stages (stages 6 and 12), and winning the Maillot vert competition. It was the first Belgian green jersey since Eddy Planckaert’s in 1988.

In 2008, Boonen began the year by winning his second overall title, fifth points classification and four stages wins (14th career stage wins) at the Tour of Qatar.

Gymnastics Athlete – Todd Thornton

Every year at the National Championships a junior and a senior win the title. In 2000 at the Junior Mens Nationals, one man stood atop all the others. Todd Thornton was the winner of that Nationals.

Born on October 14th, 1982 in Casper Wyoming, Cindy and Kim Thornton didn’t know what all they would be in for when they entered Todd into gymnastics in 1989. Not too long after Todd began gymnastics, a young man named Sean Townsend tumbled into the Thornton Family. Litterally and Figureativy. Needing a home and a loving family, the Thornton’s adopted Sean. Now with 4 sons and a daughter (Sean’s Sister) The Thorntons were a big happy family. At the 2000 National Championships, the whole Thornton/Townsend Crew were in for a huge suprise, a National Champion, and a qualifer to the Olympic Trials. Sean competed in the Olympics. He showed Todd, who progresivly had moved his way up from 3rd to first in the span of 98-00, what it was like to accomplish a dream. Todd is now following his dream. In november of 2000 Todd made his international debut at the International Team Championships. Where he helped the USA Team Place Second. Coming up to the National Championships, his first as a senior Todd would be ready. Tieing for 6th Place at the Nationals Qualified Todd as the alternate of the 2001 World Championships Team. One of many steps in reaching his dream.

2002 was another stepping up year for Todd as he qualifed for the national team and made a name for himself at more than one international competition. His major competition was when he helped the USA sweep the podium at the Jurassic Classic, Todd being the champion.

The next year wasn’t as easy for Todd, as his mom was diagnosed with cancer Todd backed off his training and spent more time with his family. His mom went into remission in late 2003 and Todd continued his work in the gym with a new attitude in his gymnastics.

2004 brought out the best in Todd as he started off with a first place finish at the 2004 Winter Cup. He continued onto the National Championships where he placed fourth all around qualifying him to the 2004 Olympic Trials. With Todd’s dream within his grasp he continued to train as hard as he could. At the trials he was not choosen to attend the selection camp. Although Todd was dissappointed it didn’t stop him for long. He headed right back into the gym and began his training for the 2008 Olympic Games!
