I was channel surfing tonight among the local channels and I chanced upon a local miniseries which stars TJ Trinidad, one of local showbiz’s hot hunks!  I’m actually surprised why he doesn’t have more projects.  Oh well, local showbiz sometimes mystifies me since the guys I like are not big superstars while guys like Piolo or Sam are.  Oh well, some women have to tune in to their gaydar sometimes.

I was watching a show on QTV tonight and this cute reporter goes onscreen.  I eagerly await for him to name himself after his flash report – and it turns out he was Mark Salazar.  This was the first time I’ve seen this guy.  I don’t even know someone cute works for the GMA7 News and Public Affairs Department!

Aljur Abrenica

I actually haven’t seen any of the two earlier Machete movies but basing on the audience response to them at that time, they were sure career boosters for both Cesar Montano and Gardo Verzosa.  And both do really fill the bill of a hunky scultpure who becomes a real human being pretty well!  Basing it on Aljur’s recent publicity pictures, I think he really did the physical aspect of his new assignment seriously, and should pass off as the Machete for this new generation of viewers.  We should all find out how he does his version of this iconic role on January 24 on GMA7 primetime.

Another youngster from local Filipino TV apparently has a video with him doing the nasty with well, another guy!  I haven’t seen the video yet but Enrique Gil has denied it and I don’t think he looks gay but even if he is, he’s incredibly cute, so hurrah for us gay people!  Anyway, sometimes these video scandals are just there to make them instant celebrities, but since some of these videos really do exist, I hope these young guys (and ladies) refrain from doing it since they know they are public persons – and people will be wont to be interested in finding any dirty stuff about them.  Anyhow, I think Enrique can survive this. At least, because of this video scandal, I got to know him!!

I was in the gym today and this guy looked really familiar.  It took some time for it to register and I remembered that he was the guy in Next to Normal – the musical I watched a few months back.  His name is Markki Stroem and apparently, he’s a reality show contestant, but who cares, he’s cute.  He’s even hotter in person – tall, really good-looking, a head turner really!

Ardie Bascara

I watched the gay indie movie, ‘Brod’ tonight and one of the main characters there playing a ‘lord’ in a fraternity is Basti Romero.  It’s actually the first time I saw him in a movie, although in this picture below, it was from the movie, Santuaryo, which I actually found boring.  The love scenes of Basti and Kenjie Garcia in this movie is steaming hot and in a way, a no-holds barred type of making love.  He’s really hot in the movie and he’s quite straight acting in movement and the way he talks.  I’m just surprised he hasn’t appeared in many other gay indie movies.

Luis Manzano Bares

I won’t be surprised if a certain percentage of the people who watched ‘Who’s That Girl’ came for that scene where Luis goes nekkid.  It’s a good thing I caught it since I felt drowsy towards the middle of the movie and before I knew it, Luis was already in full monty!  I don’t know though why he was nekkid in that part of the movie – and why the whole family was standing there in front of him.

This is the second movie of Luis’ that I’ve seen him play lead and he’s getting better at it.  This is just a run-of-the mill comedy but I’ve seen that Luis is now more comfortable acting, considering that he’s more well-known as a host than an actor. He should act more because he could definitely offer us more, considering the gene pool that he comes from.

Hinala Shows Different Points

I guess the only interesting thing in this movie is the way the story repeats itself showing different variations or points of view in a breakup between two lovers.  Some of these variations are hilarious, some of them out-there, some serious.  However, since this is an indie film the production values are really pretty simple but I guess the actors make do with what they have.

It’s good that Justin de Leon’s acting again but aside from him, the only other guy I found sexy was the guy he was with in the resort (Clyde Cruz – the guy in the picture below).  I don’t find Joeffrey Javier and Arjay Carreon interesting or sexy at all so it was a bit difficult to watch the movie.  There were parts where I fell asleep.

That gay sidekick who appears in most of Pablo’s films is here and he’s hilarious as always.  Maybe just one of the bright spots in this dreary movie.

Markki Stroem

There are so many cute guys in our local theatre!  Today, I got to watch our local take on the Broadway musical, Next to Normal, and the guy playing Henry, the boyfriend of Natalie is Markki Stroem, who I learn later on, was a contestant of a local reality show.

And I did find a sexy picture of him in his skivvies!  Don’t expect any undressing from him in the musical though.  He wears all baggy clothes (which is a pity) but he does sing very well!  As for his acting, well, we can forgive him because he’s still new to musical theatre – and he’s very cute!!
