Canadian Actor of Italian Descent – Fab Filippo

Fab Filippo, born November 30, 1974 in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian actor of Italian descent.

Filippo attended York University’s Film & Video Programme in 1993. He made his acting at the age of 16 in the Canadian TV series “Katts and Dog”.

Filippo’s best-known roles include violinist Ethan Gold in “Queer as Folk” where he kissed another guy (Randy Harrison) for the first time; Scott Hope in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”; Dom Ramone in “Ready or Not” and lawyer Sam Caponelli in “Billable Hours”, as well as the films waydowntown, “The Life Before This” and “Lives of the Saints”.

Filippo played the lead role, Roland Travis, in the short lived series “Level 9”. He also appeared as Johnny, an adolescent unaware of the fact that he is a ghost, in an episode of the popular Nickelodeon series “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”

As of 2009, Filippo is active in the Toronto theatre community.
