British Actor – Rafi Gavron

Raphael “Rafi” Gavron, born in June 1989, in Hendon, London, is a British actor, known for his appearance as Miro in the Anthony Minghella romantic-drama film “Breaking and Entering.”

The son of American-born writer Martha Pichey and the late publisher Simon Gavron, dreamed of following his parents’ footsteps. This all changed when he landed a big role in the Anthony Minghella romantic-drama “Breaking and Entering,” alongside big stars Jude Law and Juliette Binoche.

For his role, as Miro — a young burglar who uses techniques from parkour to gain access to the high-tech offices of an urban landscape architect, he performs several difficult physical feats in the film — Gavron received a nomination for Most Promising Newcomer from the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).

Gavron’s stardom continued to rise in 2008 when he secured a supporting role in the second season of HBO and BBC production, “Rome”. In the same year, he accepted an edgy role in the movie “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” as Dev, playing the gay lead singer of Nick’s band.

Gavron can also be seen in the movie “Inkheart,” portraying the role of a boy named Farid, a character from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights is magically brought to life and crushes on Meggie, the daughter of a bookbinder named Mo, who has the ability to bring characters from books into the real world when he reads aloud. The film was due to be released theatrically in January 2009.
