American Actor – Josh Henderson

Josh Henderson, born October 25, 1981 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is an American actor, best known for playing Edie Britt’s 18 year old nephew, Austin, in the popular TV series Desperate Housewives.

Henderson has had a recurring role as Josh on the hit UPN show One on One. He is also known for dating pop singer Ashlee Simpson. The couple ended their relationship in 2004 after dating for two years; their breakup was featured in the first episode of Simpson’s reality show, The Ashlee Simpson Show.

Henderson has appeared in several movies: Step Up (2006); Broken Bridges (2006); Yours, Mine and Ours (2005), and Leeches! (2003) to name a few. He has recently landed the role of Penn in the movie Fingerprints to be released in 2007.

In addition to acting, Henderson is also a singer. His first brush with stardom came on The WB series Pop Stars 2 in 2001 when he was one of five singers selected for the pop group Scene 23. But weeks after his first album was released, his recording label London Sire folded.

Growing up in Tulsa, where his Mom still lives with his two step-sisters (Hannah and Chelsea) and step-dad, Josh focused more on music and baseball than on acting, and he intends to pursue his music career even though acting has now become his priority. “The music is a hybrid of rock, R&B and radio friendly pop, but the lyrics are serious and about deep issues,” Josh explains.
